There are no wrong ways of creating a grid. To me, crystal gridding is about connecting to our inner self, our soul, our intuition, following what feels good ( without that inner critic ).
You can literally grid anything, I grid my apartment, my bathroom, even my bed. So don’t be afraid to try something new, bring nature in your grid ( like flowers, twings, sea shells ) But most of all, notice your inner voice, follow your instinct and have fun !!

I wanted to share a story of connection with you all. Last September when I was traveling in Scotland I had made plans to visit places that I felt were spiritually significant. The one of these sites that I was most excited to visit was the island of Iona. Being a place where the veil between the physical and spirit world is thinnest, the tiny isle is central to many myths and legends. It is the rumored birthplace of Mary Magdalen’s child and the Well of Eternal Youth, as well as being the burial place of 60 Scottish Kings.
These reasons and the absolute beauty of the island was what kept me waiting for a ferry for two days in the small fishing village of Tobermory, hoping to wait out the bad weather that made traveling to Iona nearly impossible. But eventually I needed to keep traveling, so before I bid a solemn farewell to Iona, I made a quick stop at a local gift shop. The adorable shop was filled with Iona themed jewelry and knickknacks and I expressed my sadness about not being able to visit island to the kind shop owner. I said goodbye and as I exited the store the shop owner asked me to wait. She rummaged through a drawer behind the counter and pulled out a small green stone. “Here,” she said, “this is for you, from Iona.” I thanked her and left the shop, admiring the gift. In return, I went to the port and left one of the crystals I was carrying on the dock as an offering.
I feel that, although I didn’t make it to Iona that time, that I was able to bring back a small piece of the magical isle with me. I keep that stone with me wherever I go. I know that one day I will be back to visit.

]]>I then heard a female commentator, who is also a female footballer, say, “This team is about a feeling...” and it totally resonated with me. It is all about feelings isn’t it? The creation of sisterhood and community is a tale as old as time. Even in sports we see the recognition of the Sacred Feminine, the active balancing of masculine and feminine energies and the relationships that are formed by mentorship and eldership, like a roadmap rooted in the sacral chakra. It doesn’t mean winning every game, however it is about trusting your feelings and intuitions.
I remember I once heard a coach talk about women’s soccer when my daugther was a youth player. He said, if men win they are happy, but women have to be happy to win. How true?
It is about self care and what makes you happy. To win in life? To be in service? I am certainly taking this advice.

I‘d almost forgotten those things, and yet the Universe always has a way of giving me clues. These reminders constantly manifest themselves and whether or not I choose to listen to them is entirely up to me. And my mission is to always listen from my heart.
Often times these reminders from the Universe are hidden in the simplest things in life. In his last letter, John McCain wrote, “I would love to see the hawk hunting from the Sycamore tree”. These words have had a profound effect on me; I wonder why it is that would we wait till death to want these simple things in life. Maybe life’s purpose lies in the simple things, and happiness is not granted from our looks, our bank account or our cars or handbags. The things have come to give me purpose are traveling, seeing the world, connecting to the sacred, and inspiring people to live close to their life’s purpose.
What is my life purpose? Well I am not quite sure yet, but I have a feeling that it involves crystals, vibrational healing, flute playing, traveling, and learning how to love myself. I am grateful that I have the basic means to do what I love and am inspired by the amazing Teachers around me. I am constantly being put to test and I am loving the process. Mind you, it is never easy, but I am grateful every step of the way.
Life has a funny way of teaching and guiding us to become who we are. A journal reminded me of how far I have come along my life’s path and I anticipate the turning of each page and can’t wait to see what is in store for me on my journey.
